Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
This page explains the cookies and similar technologies used on CelebTea (celebtea.live), why we use them, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy. We keep this short because the site uses very little.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They can remember a setting you chose, or let another company recognize your device across sites. The ePrivacy rules and GDPR require your consent before any non-essential cookie is set, which is why you see a banner on your first visit.
Cookies we set by default
CelebTea is a static site and sets only one cookie on its own, and only to remember your choice on the cookie banner. It is strictly necessary and does not track you.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
celebtea_consent | Remembers your cookie-banner choices. | ~6 months | First-party, strictly necessary |
Third-party embeds (consent required)
Some articles embed posts and videos from the platforms below. We do not load them until you allow the “media embeds” category in the banner, or click “Load content” on an individual placeholder. Once loaded, each platform delivers its own content and may set its own cookies and collect data such as your IP address, as a separate controller. We do not control those cookies; they are governed by each platform’s own policy.
| Platform | Used for | Their policy |
|---|---|---|
| X (Twitter) | Embedded posts | x.com/en/privacy |
| YouTube (Google) | Embedded videos (no-cookie domain) | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Instagram (Meta) | Embedded posts | privacycenter.instagram.com/policy |
Analytics
We do not currently use analytics cookies. The banner includes an “analytics” category reserved for the future, but it is empty and does nothing today. If we add privacy-respecting, aggregate measurement later, we will list it here before switching it on.
How to control cookies
- Use in the footer at any time to change or withdraw your choices.
- You can also delete cookies and block them through your browser settings. Blocking the consent cookie simply means the banner will ask again on your next visit.
